Banking Law

In the field of banking law, we take the side of consumers in disputes with banks.  In recent years we have seen consumers win a number of significant battles against the banks.

We examine whether the contracts our clients signed with banks included unfair, abusive or illegal terms (eg «floor clauses» or minimum interest rates, where reimbursement of interest paid can be claimed, or rounding up, default interest or early termination clauses) or if the bank transparency or consumer protection rules have been violated (eg mortgages linked to the IRPH or Mortgage Loan Reference Index, mis-sold financial products such as preference shares, multi-currency options, Banco Popular shares, coupons, structured financial products, etc.).

If this is the case, we take all necessary steps to safeguard and enforce our clients’ interests, in out-of-court negotiations with the banks or if required, in legal action.
